KERNAHAN Patrick James Patrick James Kernahan, age 60, of Toledo, died suddenly March 1, 2010, at home. Patrick was born September 7, 1949, in Toledo to Jake and Delight (Rush) Kernahan. Patrick was a Deputy Sherriff with the Lucas County Sheriff’s office and worked as a security guard for the Lucas County Port Authority. He served his country as a Lance Corporal, in the United States Marine Corps, during the Vietnam War. Surviving are his loving son, Kurt (Caroline Weissenberger) Kernahan; mother, Delight Kernahan; sisters, Diane (Jack) Cook and Kathy (Keith) LaVrar; brothers, Michael J. (Monica) Kernahan and Kevin (Lori) Kernahan. Also surviving is his granddaughter, Mackenzie Kernahan and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Patrick in death was his father, Jake. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, March 8, 2010, at the Historic Church of Saint Patrick, 130 Avondale Ave., Toledo, OH, where the family will greet friends starting at 9:15 am.
