Happy Birthday

It’s finally happened! Everybody will be 70 and ready to party! The date has been set and details are in the works.

The event is scheduled for The W. W. Knight Nature Center in the Wood County Park District, https://www.wcparks.org/parks/ww-knight-preserve/, on October 24, 2020 at 1 PM. Planned cost will be $10 per person (Subject to final budget estimate) to cover catering and cake. Before the event, a “Save the Date” post card will be mailed to all known classmate addresses and the event will be posted on FB. The following committees need to be established and a final budget configured. If you are interested in volunteering for a committee, please, indicate here or via email tot Kathy Archambeau Cornelius at (kcornelius@BEX.Net).

Everyone is welcomed! Please, encourage your fellow classmates to attend.

Committees to consider:

I. Set up committee – Meet with ranger, set up tables & chairs etc.

II. Take down committee
Take down chairs, clean room, food gone, trash out etc. Meet with ranger for exit.

III. Food Committee

a. Hire vendors for catering, purchase soda, water, napkins, silverware etc. arrange for deliveries, & supervise food for class.
b. Order a birthday cake.
c. Provide Ice, cups, coolers

IV. Reservations for event.

a. Establish budget,
b. Collect funds from classmates.
c. Due date for reservations to the committee?
d. Who will be responsible for the collection of the money?

V. Publicity for function. Post cards, email & Facebook. Do we need to send out post cards?

VI. Decorating committee
Do we need one. Should we make the party simple?

VII. Games (who has corn Hole games, cards etc.)

VIIII. Other/comments/sign up for committees. Form a group to meet for this function.
