September 2nd, 1933 - November 15th, 2008
Harold G. Waters, Harold G. - 75, of Rossford, died after a long illness at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center Saturday, November 15, 2008. Harold was born in Toledo, Ohio in 1933 to Clifford and Isabel (Gilete) Waters. Harold serviced in the Air Force Reserve. Harold taught music and was the Band Director for 36 years a Gateway Middle School and Maumee High School retiring in 1993. Harold was an active member at Messiah Lutheran Church. He was the Director of Deutch Meister Band Emeritus of the Teutonia Mannerchor; his instrument of choice was the Saxophone which he would play in various bands in and around the Toledo area. Harold also belonged to the German American Festival Society, and was a Sigma phi Epsilon and an avid Buckeye Fan.
Mr. Waters taught me to play the clarinet in 1960, and fifty years later I am still playing. What a wonderful gift. Thank you Harold. Dave Shugar
